Q1: What can WebhostSHIFT do for me as a Web hosting customer?

Q1: What can WebhostSHIFT do for me as a Web hosting customer?
A1: WebhostSHIFT can save you money! As a customer, you receive a SHIFT voucher when you cancel your account at a participating Web hosting provider. As you seek a new Web host, you can use your voucher to shop in our hosting marketplace, where you can choose from a wide range of hosting plans from various Web hosting companies that are members of the SHIFT network. By using your SHIFT voucher, Web hosting companies are required to offer you a better deal than is available to the general public. Plus, the first month is always free!

Once you redeem your SHIFT voucher, you are also automatically entered into our monthly $1,000 Dell gift certificate drawing.


Q2: I don’t need Web hosting anymore. What can I do with my SHIFT voucher?
A2: SHIFT vouchers are fully transferrable! You are encouraged to offer your voucher to a friend family member, or colleague. Please keep in mind SHIFT vouchers may only be redeemed once – so don’t give it to two people.


Q3: What if my SHIFT voucher expires? Can you extend the expiration date?
A3: Unfortunately, we cannot extend expiration dates of SHIFT vouchers. If you can’t use your SHIFT voucher before it expires, give it to a friend, family member, or colleague. It’ll boost your karma.

Q4: Can I give my SHIFT voucher to more than one person?
A4: SHIFT vouchers may only be redeemed once, so don’t give it to more than one person. Once a SHIFT voucher is redeemed, it is voided and no longer works in the marketplace.


Q5: I have redeemed my SHIFT voucher and purchased a plan from a Web host in the marketplace, but I changed my mind and want to purchase from a different Web host instead. Can I use my voucher again?
A5: Once a SHIFT voucher has been redeemed, it can no longer be used for any reason. If you’re unhappy with your new Web host, you may cancel your account and request a new SHIFT voucher. WebhostSHIFT is unable to directly issue vouchers to customers; only Web hosts can.


Q6: Other than saving money on Web hosting, what else do I get by using a SHIFT voucher?
A6: By redeeming a SHIFT voucher, you are automatically entered to win a $1,000 Dell gift certificate in our monthly drawing. You can spend it at Dell.com or any outlet where Dell products are sold. (Dell is not participating in this promotion).

Q7: I’m not happy with my new Web host. How can cancel my account and get a refund?
A7: You should contact your Web host and request a refund or cancellation. Once you purchase hosting through the marketplace, WebhostSHIFT is no longer able to assist you in working with your Web hosting provider. Although we make every attempt to screen participating companies in our network, the quality of hosting services is solely the responsibility of the respective Web hosting provider.

Q8: Can I use the SHIFT voucher more than once?
A8: No, each SHIFT voucher may be redeemed only once. We are unable to re-issue any used SHIFT voucher for any reason.

Q9: When redeeming my SHIFT Voucher, you ask for my email address and domain name. Why do you need this information?
A9: By using WebhostSHIFT, you agree to provide us with both your domain name and email address. We will only use this information for tracking purposes, and we will never sell or rent your information to a third party.
